A little bit about me

I am trying to meet mid-life (50s) head-on. More than before, I prioritise good health, energy for what brings me joy & an overall feeling of contentment.

Younger years: life was demanding; I worked & trained hard. Health issues crept in & self-help info was scarce.

Assembling a holistic health team was the best thing I did, & I leaned into my exercise physiology background & love of learning.

Holistic, performance nutrition became my new obsession. I became my own first client, & I am proud of my results.

I identified root cause issues & treated them. A mindset shift was also key, & implementing whole-food variety as medicine & quality key supplements.

Hard for me to do, but I have learned that consistency beats perfection, with permanent shifts achieved through small habit change. I have found a new, healthier balance.

Professionally, I have shifted to nutrition coaching from a background in health, physical education & career coaching. Most recently, I have worked with teens whose health challenges prevent full-time education.

I am invested in the health & happiness of my clients & am now researching for my Master’s thesis at the AUT Human Potential Centre in Auckland, NZ.

During my spare time, I love wheel-thrown pottery (very humbling), a range of physical activity, a great podcast & quality time with my favourite people.
