A little bit about me
Now in my early 50s, I am trying to meet mid-life head on. More than ever before, I prioritise my good health, the energy for what brings me joy & an overall feeling of contentment.
Years ago I was busy at home, work was demanding, I trained hard, I lacked information, I didn’t eat well & I was reacting. I developed food allergies & Menière’s disease.
Assembling an holistic health team was the best thing I did, guiding change for a return to strength. I also leaned into my background; exercise physiology, resistance training, restorative yoga & life long learning. I became my own first client & I am proud of my results.
A head shift was key for me - food as medicine, eating for optimal energy, crowding food in as good (not restricting food as bad), understanding nutrient dynamics, utilising quality supplements, planning & tracking with confidence.
Now, nutrition serves me across all my priorities - intense exercise events, daily performance, & quality longevity investment. I learned permanent shifts are achieved through small habit change & that consistency beats perfection.
I have stepped into nutrition & health coaching from a health & physical education x career development background, before working collaboratively with teenagers (their families & specialists) too unwell for full time school.
Outside of coaching, I have been a life long sports person. I love wheel thrown pottery (very humbling), a range of fitness activities, social connection, outdoor adventures, a great podcast & quality time with my family.
